Fatima was born in Portugual and she embarked on the American Dream when she immigrated here to the United States and became an American Citizen.  She worked for many years at Texas Instruments in Attleboro, MA as a machine operator until she retired. During that time that she worked at Texas Instruments, she raised three children on her own. She was a woman with a heart of gold and hands of steel. Working tirelessly, she still found away to keep a roof over their head and shoes on their feet even if it meant working double shifts.  Her devotion to her children took precedent and she always made sacrifices for them even if it meant not taking care of herself.  After her retirement, she continued to raise her granddaughter and she always volunteered to babysit any of the grandchildren at any given time. She was a selfless woman who never thought of herself first and always found away to give even when she couldn’t afford to. She attended every family cookout and birthdays and her family always celebrated the Holidays at her house as it was considered the central gathering place where everyone broke bread and drank wine. Her house was always filled with great food, endless love and tons of laughter.  She enjoyed the company of her friends from the food pantry, and countless other friends that were always a part of her life. During the spring and summer Fatima could be found in her massive garden proudly tending to her vegetables which she graciously handed out.  Fatima passed away unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital from heart failure.  She will always be missed and she will always be in our hearts.  Fatima is survived by her beloved daughter Yvette Boehling and her husband Andrew Boehling of Blackstone, MA , beloved daughter Susan Avila of Fall River, Ma,  beloved son Gary Avila and  his partner Karen Archambault of Seekonk, MA, several beloved grandchildren, beloved brothers George Silva of East Providence, Louis Silva of Florida, Steve Silva of Florida, her sister Natalie Arudda of Florida and her two beloved dogs Max and Beema.
