Maria Antonia Le Garie
September 18, 1937 - June 18, 2013
Marie A. Le Garie died on June 18, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence RI, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Wallace Le Garie. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of Natalina Bocchini and Frank Leporacci, Sr.
Maria grew up in Pawtucket and attended St. Mary’s School and was an active parishioner at St. Mary’s Parish church for many years. In the 1970's she was the Vice President of the Westside Little League of Warwick. She also worked as an administrator at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence. She was survived by her children; Lynn Lane and her husband Kevin of Warwick, Mary Ann Futrell and her husband Jay of Pawtucket, Paul Vanasse and his wife Rae of Warwick, and David Le Garie and his wife Cheryl of Cranston. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Mathew, Jason, Melissa, Michael, Ryan, Amanda and Dylan. Maria was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren; Poppy, Giulianna, Colin, Ethan, Ryan Jr., Stephanie and Brian. She also leaves her dog, Rocco, who spent over nine years by her side.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on June 24, 2013 at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 103 Pine St. Pawtucket, RI. Interment will be private.
