Olson & Parent Funeral Home considers a cremation to be “green” when the body is not embalmed before the cremation, the cremation container is made from natural components, and certified green urns are available.
As of May 1, 2019, when a family chooses a green cremation, a small tree will be given to the family in memory of their loved one. It has been determined, during the trees lifetime it will offset the pollution generated by the one cremation.
