Olson & Parent Funeral Home handles the shipment of human remains throughout the United States and Internationally.  When the death of a loved one occurs in an area away from where the services or burial will take place, we make all the arrangements to bring your loved one to their final resting place. We take care of all the details to ensure that your wishes are carried out in a timely fashion.  We coordinate with the airlines, government agencies and receiving funeral home all while keeping you informed of our progress.

Domestic Services

When a death occurs out of state, the first step is to contact us at (401) 944-6460.  We will gather pertinent information about your loved one and work with a local funeral home where the death occurred to arrange for the transfer and preparation of remains for air or ground shipment. It is best to work directly with Olson & Parent Funeral Home to coordinate all of the details in the most cost-efficient manner. Whether we are working to bring your loved one back to Rhode Island or charged with the responsibility to transfer your loved one out of Rhode Island, we have the experience to carry out your plans to your exact specifications.

International Shipments

Olson & Parent Funeral Home has shipped remains to countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.  We will gather all proper documentation and work with the receiving country through their consulate or embassy.  The remains of your loved one will be prepared and shipped following the guidelines of receiving country and funeral home.  We will handle every detail to ease your mind of carrying out the wishes of you and your loved one.

Olson & Parent Funeral Home has been awarded the funeral home shipping contract with Inman Shipping Worldwide.  We serve as their shipping agent in the state Rhode Island.  Inman Shipping Worldwide is one of the oldest and most well respected companies in the industry.  We are proud to have worked closely with Inman for the past decade and have responded to their needs to ship domestically, internationally and for the US Military.
