Our funeral director and co-owner, Tom Olson, is licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, working alongside his wife Louise Parent Olson and directly with each family we serve. When you call our home, you aren't greeted by a robot; each family works directly with Tom and Louise to honor your loved one in the most meaningful way. This also means that a loved one's remains will be transferred to our funeral home in Providence, not a centralized, or alternate location. The funeral home also serves as a residence of the owners, so the funeral home is occupied overnight.
- Green Burial and Cremation Options: We acknowledge and understand the environmental impact the funeral industry has created in the past. With a growing concern ourselves, as well as by the families we serve, we are proud to be part of the Green Burial Council, dedicated to educating the public about the benefits of choosing green burial and cremation services. We continually educate ourselves on the latest green burial and cremation possibilities, and are proud to offer these services to the families we serve.
- Inclusive and Open: We serve all religions and nationalities, eager and willing to ensure all traditions and values are honored. We have worked with families around the world, whether it be to repatriate a loved one's remains back to their home country, or plan services for a loved one living away from their family.
- Transparent Pricing: Our mission is to treat all families and their loved ones with the utmost respect, this includes ensuring the families we serve never have to stress about surprise or hidden costs. All charges are itemized on the goods and services statement in accordance with our General Price List. Any additional fees required by law, crematory, or cemetery, will be clearly explained on paper for you. We guarantee all funeral home expenses, including selected cash advance items, when arrangements are paid in full.
- Flexible and Communicative: We will explain all arrangement options and costs over the phone or in person, with no obligation. Our director will gladly meet with you in your home, nursing home or other location to make at-need or pre-need funeral arrangements at your convenience. For Families and Individuals Choosing Cremation Services.
- Flexible: We will use whichever crematory you choose. We most use Swan Point Cemetery's crematory and cremation chapel located at 565 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, RI, and North Purchase Cemetery for deaths occurring in Massachusetts.
- Affordable: We provide all inclusive Cremation Packages, with no hidden fees. All packages are itemized on our General Price List. Chapel service are available for a committal service before the cremation takes place at Swan Point at no additional charge. Cremains will be hand delivered to the next of kin or family representative throughout RI and Eastern Massachusetts at no additional cost.
- Customizable: We have hundreds of urns available through our Select Urns website. We will also arrange for the transfer of cremains to any of our urns from a temporary, plastic container provided at the crematory.
